Art is Everywhere
Beyond the museum and the graffiti wall, in the acres of foreign branded stores in Goiania, we are bombarded with images of art. This art was not made by us or for us, it was made by someone far away and placed in our community in order to make money off us. Supporting local artists keeps our cities strong with local influences.

Artists are Cheap
Not gonna lie. With fiverr and deviantart and discords, if I wanted to just have custom art for counterculture shirts I'd be printing them right now. Digital artists are cheap and easy to come across, and many countries with better English have diluted the market. Our artists deserve representation, and our businesses deserve a local art community to pull from, bottom line.

All Art is Local
Whereas custom art is cheap, there is loads of digital art out there free and our businesses don't necessarily respect copyright, let's be honest. When we use this model to promote art, we can make free-for-commercial-use assets in our local style. This removes cost as a barrier to local businesses who want to promote regional culture.

Art is unique
Half the reason I'm doing this is because there's something out there I want to exist and it doesn't. With ecommerce the way it is (talking about merch stores), exporting Central Brazilian culture is a snap, and people like unique things from other places. Our content stays fresh while we give the rest of the world something unique to discover.

And that discovery is what's at the core of this art project. I want to reach my hands out into where good pop art hides, to all the kids wishing they were somewhere else, the young people trying to make it big, people in some of the more remote places on the planet who have a story trapped inside and pull those stories out. (And those stories can get out relatively cheaply.) C o m i n g s o o n I hope, I will have opportunities to support the project, to crowdfund, to reproduce designs, but I think it's low quality to crowdfund vaporware. Backers deserve backer loot and when the loot crates arrive with the first designs, backers can take a piece of the project with them and help an art culture find its harmonized voice.
